"FIND" Function In Excel

Updated: May 2, 2019

This function looks for a specific letter in a word and gives the result as number of the position of the letter in a word.

If the text has more than one reference of the letter, the result would be the first occurrence.

Syntax:

=Find("textl to be searched","Source Cell")

Example:

Let's see here in the first row, i am searching for the letter "e" in the word "hello" and the result would be position in number, which is a second position = 2.

Here is the video tutorial of the same for clear understanding.
